Ride #2: Encountering Fear

Yesterday I went for my second "real" ride, in that it wasn't a lesson. We went on a bicycle trail, which means that it was narrower, had more people, and crossed roads. It was fun and I enjoyed the ride, but I also had some experiences where I went, "F*********!!!!" Any one of them could have turned me off riding, but I enjoy the other parts so much that I decided to keep going. Overall, they're good learning experiences. They're the sort of thing I'll have to learn how to cope with as a Cyclist.
( Fearful things I encountered: )
Perhaps I'll look back on this post later and chuckle at my fears. I hope so. Anyway, this can serve as a good benchmark for later rides - and hopefully help other people who are new to the saddle (or just got back on after umpteen years away).
